5th March 2005 Windsurfing: Golf Course Car park, Ynyslas Wind Direction: NNW Wind Stength: 20-25 knots Surf / Sea State: 1 foot surf Air Temperature: 6ºC Sea Temperature: 8ºC Weather: Sunny Max Speed: 28.9 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 28.9 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Woohoo, a perfect session! Had expected to be kitesurfing with everyone else, but the wind soon filled in so I went out with my 5.7m and big board. Well powered up the whole time and maxed out for most of it. Loads of blasting around on the choppy waters in sunny conditions, it just doesn't get any better. A few nice jumps but nothing spectacular on that front, but loads of really sweet gybes. In the end the 5.7m became too much, so I changed down to the 5m instead for more of the same. Good to see so many people out kiting as well, and nice to go flying past them too! Most runs were around 25 knots, but I managed 28.9 knots at one point once on the smaller sail...Nice. |
